Regulations The World Academy Awards International Music Competitionis an international competition open to all classical musicians from around the world, in all ages. The World Academy Awards International Music Competitionis is open to every musician from all over the world in the classical categories of Piano, Strings, Voice, Winds, Brass, Conducting, Composition & Chamber Music.
Art. 1 Application for entry The application form must be completed in full. Handwritten applications will not be accepted. Applications may be submitted by email only to the address: indicate in the subject line of your email the position for which you are applying. Closing date for all the other applications is 15 ,January2024.
Art.2 All applications must be accompanied by: -photocopy of participant's identity card or passport -photocopy of receipt of payment of competition entry fee -copy of curriculum vitae of applicant with no more than 100 words -Application Form -A high-definition photo Art.3 Age groups are as follows 01. Prodigy (Age 7 and younger) Free choice of 1 or more pieces Video duration: no longer than 7 minutes. 02. Junior (Age 8-10) Free choice of 1 or more pieces Video duration: no longer than 7 minutes. 03. Youth (Age 11-13) Free choice of 1 or more pieces Video duration: no longer than 10 minutes. 04. Young Artist (Age 14-17) Free choice of 1 or more pieces Video duration: no longer than 12 minutes. 05. Advanced (Age 18-22) Free choice of 1 or more pieces Video duration: no longer than 15 minutes. 06. Professional (No age limit) Free choice of 1 or more pieces Video duration: no longer than 20 minutes. 07. Own composition Free choice of 1 or more pieces written by candidates themselves Video duration: no longer than 15 minutes. 08. Duo Performance Open to all instrumental duos, or piano 4 hands Video duration: no longer than 15 minutes, 1 or more pieces. 09. Chamber Group Open to chamber group of 3-10 players. Video duration: no longer than 15 minutes, 1 or more pieces. 10. National Music Open to traditional/national instruments/singing styles in different countries. Video duration: no longer than 15 minutes, 1 or more pieces. 11. Concerto Free choice of 1 movement, or a whole concerto Video duration: no longer than 30 minutes Concerto can be accompanied by or by orchestra/piano/audio. The competition age is determined by the candidate's age on the day of the application deadline. Awardes All contestants will receive e-certificates. Teachers will receive teachers' e-certificates. In each category, candidates who receive 96-100 points will become Absolute First Prize Winner; 90-95 points will become First Prize Winner, 85-89 points will become Second Prize Winner, 80-84 points will become the Third Prize Winner. There can be more than one Winner in each tier. Absolute First, First, Second, and Third Prize Winners' Teachers will receive excellent teachers' award e-certificates The photos of the winners of Absolute First Prize will be displayed on the WAAIMC website We offer special acknowledgement of selected Top Prize-winning videos, posted on World Academy Awards International Music Competition's Youtube channel (winners’ highlights video) and Facebook & Instagram. There will be Special Prizes - Best Bach Performance, Best Chopin Performance, Best Musicianship, Best Technique, etc. These special prizes are appointed by the judge's recommendation.
